Faith in a HistoricAL Building is restored

Gifted by the federal government in 1935, Log Cabin is the center piece of the Village of Biscayne Park. The trademark of the community the building has served as the home of the local police department, clerks office, and a community meeting place.

Over the years, adaptations to the building slowly began to distance it from its original structure. McKenzie Construction was tasked with a remarkable restoration envisioned by architect Richard Heisenbottle. In addition to the structural restoration that returned the landmarks’ former charm, McKenzie also executed renovations that included hurricane-resistant windows, bathrooms & doors.

Highlight Feature: A massive wrap-around porch and fireplace.
