Gifted by the federal government in 1935, Log Cabin is the center piece of the Village of Biscayne Park. The trademark of the community the building has served as the home of the local police department, clerks office, and a community meeting place.
Over the years, adaptations to the building slowly began to distance it from its original structure. McKenzie Construction was tasked with a remarkable restoration envisioned by architect Richard Heisenbottle. In addition to the structural restoration that returned the landmarks’ former charm, McKenzie also executed renovations that included hurricane-resistant windows, bathrooms & doors.

McKenzie Construction joined forces with McKenzie Design and McKenzie Craft to create a fresh, warm and simply inviting environment. Allowing the food to be the main focus by incorporating a sense of transparency where customers can see the ingredients and food-making process first hand was the driving force for the build.

Partnering with 3Design Architecture, McKenzie Construction optimized every square foot of available space to accommodate a remarkably comfortable 6 bedrooms in just a two-story structure.

The gps navigation and wearable technology company hired McKenzie to complete the interior build-out of an existing retail space in Aventura Mall.

This former plumbing supply warehouse was once a center-point for the industrial Allapattah community of Miami.
McKenzie Construction beautified this 25,000 square foot 1930’s historic building and in doing so helped to celebrate Allapattah, a well-known industrial neighborhood in the center of Miami.
